Here will go all the Betas - for your eyes only!

    Hello Andrea,
well, the main problem with the new explorer-like window is, that I can't view the tabbles ordered by colour name (the old categories). Unfortunately, when categorizing a new file, I also can't choose tabbles ordered by colour name. Hierarchical tabbles aren't a substitute for that, and ordering by name of the tabbles doesn't give a clear view (depending on the number ot them).

Perhaps it would be possible to develop the main view..
    Yours,

You can. But you have to create a hierarchy of tabbles which replicates the colors that you had. Here's how to do it:

For each color C you have defined, do the following:

    1. Create a tabble and call it C. (i.e. give the new tabble the same name as the color).

    2. drag each tabble with color C into tabble C.

This way you get the same arrangement as the old "group by color name" in the new explorer-like window. (And you have a few added benefits, like being able to see all the files with a given color, collapse colors, and more).

In version 1.4.6 the tabbles aren't ordering themselves anymore in the workspace depending on the size of the window.

This only makes sense in a non-zooming mode. But the non-zooming mode was removed because it was costly and superfluous, now that you have the side-panel in the file window.

what's wrong with using the file window?

    Hello Maurizio,

it's true, but maybe uncomfortable. After building a new tabble and choosing a colourname I always have to put it also in the Colour-Tabble. Or is there another solution I can't see....

The non-zooming mode had the following advantage: I opened my explorer an the workspace of TABBLES (which was ordering the tabbles by himself), then I draw several files very quickly into their tabbles.

And who forces you to choose a color name? Your doctor maybe?

Previously you had to choose a color name. Now you have to choose the parent tabble. It's the same.

Also, remember that tabbles are folders. In Microsoft Windows, if you create a new folder, it will be created as a child of the currenlty open folder. The same is true for tabbles. If you open a tabble, then, if you create a new tabble, it will automatically be put inside the open tabble. So, no need to drag the new tabble into the correct container: it is already there.

We are trying to make tabbles as close as possible to common folders.

The non-zooming mode had the following advantage: I opened my explorer an the workspace of TABBLES (which was ordering the tabbles by himself), then I draw several files very quickly into their tabbles.

You were dragging files from Windows Explorer onto tabbles? So? You can do the same with the file-window. Just drag the files from Windows Explorer to the correct tabble in the sidebar of the file-window. (When you hover a parent tabble, it will expand if collapsed). Does this not seem equivalent to you?

There is a new bug in 1.4.7.

If I open a tabble, and try to subtract a "child tabble" from this "parent tabble", it doesn't work (the result is strange ). Sample: I have the tabble "cat" in "animal". I open "animal", I substract "cat", and that gives: "tagged" - "cat".

it's not a bug, it's a feature meant to solve another problem. But you're right it does not work when you open a parent and want to subtract a child. We'll have to find a different solution.
