In playing with it more this morning it rather appears you still have to do much the same thing; I have that series of 'tabbles quick ref' files tagged with a 'quick ref' tabble. When using the search box on the file panel looking for "quick" only the 'quick ref' tabble is found
I have somewhere around 700 tabbles (2800 files),
I still wonder if it has something to do with the program trying to 'place' the new tabble,
I don't get why you want to scroll back to the top. What are you trying to find? The "workspace" tabble in the tree? Why?
Why not? Why was the button there in the first place?

and what else would you have liked to see there? (Guessing: all the files tagged with any tabble whose name contains "quick"?)

I have never tried to have so many tabbles and this does not surprise me. I wonder why you have so many tabbles. (Maybe you have tabbles which contain just one file? If so, I understand how you could end up with so many tabbles. I suggest to just add something to the filename in that case, do not create a tabble).
That said, of course I have to optimize things, so as not to have all tabbles in the tree exist in memory at the same time. But I haven't yet been able to.

I don't know that for sure. By heart, I would say no. However I have to test the program with as many tabbles as you have. If you want to send me your DB structure (maurizio.colucci@gmail.com), or any structure which contains that many tabbles, this would help a lot.

Because, in the betas, clicking in the tree would (sometimes) combine the clicked tabble; so you needed a way to start a new query from scratch, and that was the home button. But now, when you click a tabble in the tree, it is opened, not combined. So I was wondering why you wanted to click the "workspace" tabble in order to start a new query, instead of just clicking some more specific tabble in the tree.
mrdna wrote:however the practical part is that it should take you back to the top of the tree where the computer and favorites sections are.

mrdna wrote:Still having the usual issue of new tabble creation hanging the program for upwards of a minute -however- this is a usual problem and not an 'every time' problem. In other words 'almost every time'. I haven't noticed any consistency related to color group, tho keeping an eye whether spelling may be something (more tabbles starting with the letter 'S' is slower creating than starting with 'Q' for example. No hard data yet tho)

In version 1.4.6 the tabbles aren't ordering themselves anymore in the workspace depending on the size of the window. I am missing this effect really!!! It's horrible to zoom in or out each time I work with it.
It would be fantastic to start TABBLES in that workspace (choosing this in OPTIONS perhaps).
What about 1.4.6 RC1......?![]()
