Tabbles Roadmap
Those are some selected features we plan to deliver in the next weeks/months.
-
Around version 1.4.10 (currently in beta)
-
Browser integration: integration via Javascript (bookmarklet) with all the major browsers.
-
-
- Around version 1.6
-
Sharing functions: the user will be allowed to export a tabble into an .xml file that can be placed on a shared drive. To benefit is the possibility for a user to easily share his categorization with his colleagues in an easy and safe way. The software will be automatically checking the exported tabbles from time to time, allowing for the user to modify the categorization smoothly.
-
Auto-tagging wizard: a wizard that will automatically categorize files/folders and create auto-tagging rules based on folder structure, to be invoked when the user first installs Tabbles. Explained in this post on our forum.
-
-
Around version 1.7
-
Backup: the possibility to backup tabbles (think of it as Projects) and combination of tabbles, with one click.
-
The Archive function: the Archive function will allow you to backup your files and folders on an external drive keeping track of where they are. The archiving function will allow you to use external or removable supports and virtually extend your hard-drive to them. The availability of these features depends on the selected license. The features are currently under development.
-
Around version 1.8
-
More visualization modes: we're looking to add more alignment modes, including a mode that allows to arrange tabbles in lists. This will allow the user to switch between the zooming/panning mode to the more tradition vertical scrolling mode.
-
Moving to WMI technology (is it worth it?): this will allow Tabbles to read the serial number of each disk (including USB) and therefore to recognize it. The benefit for the user will be that Tabbles will be able to tell one external disk from another, therefore allowing for the storage of data on removable drives.
